Will Ciri be the heroine of the new part of the supposed title The Witcher 4?

Yesterday it was announced that the new part of The Witcher series "The Beginning of a New Epic" is the series that made the Polish studio CD Projekt so famous, which is very likely to be the fourth part The Witcher 4 .

The title that is under development will open a new era for the series, as it will be developed using Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5, but who do you think will be the hero of the story?

The advertisement that appeared on the company's social media, showed an image of the cat's "medal" necklace and not the wolf school necklace that was carried by the well-known hero of the series Geralt, as the necklace that appeared belongs to the cat school.

The character who wears this necklace is Ciri, the adopted daughter of Geralt, who was able to obtain it with other necklaces from witch-slayer Leo Bonhart nicknamed "Old Leo" aka the legend.



This takes us a bit further back in 2020 when Jakub Szamałek, a lead writer for CD Projekt, was asked if the studio had considered making her the main character in a new Witcher game. He replied:

She is an amazingly rich and complex character. For obvious reasons - well, she's gone a lot, two-thirds of the game, she didn't get as much screen time as we writers would have liked. But hey, this might be something we'll come back to in the future

This certainly indicates that Geralt's daughter may play a bigger role in the game the studio is now working on. And as CD Projekt Red previously emphasized, he'd like to tell more stories centered around Ciri.

As for the snow surrounding that necklace, that's been pretty baffling for fans, but The Witcher 4 or whatever its next title is definitely going to be a huge shift in the franchise's history, and we could be seeing an explosion of Ciri's magical abilities.

So far, all that has been revealed is that a new Witcher game is under development using the fifth version of the Epic UE5 engine. And that the game will open a new era in the history of the famous series without any details about the story, characters, or even the game world.
