Ghostwire Review and Rating: Tokyo | An innovative and terrifying experience fraught with secrets beyond nature

The survival and action horror game Ghostwire: Tokyo is considered one of the most interesting and mysterious games, which have been reviewed during the past two years for several reasons, the most important of which is that the Japanese battered Shinji Mikami , who is considered the godfather and creator of the Resident Evil series, participated in its development.. Welcome to review and rate Ghostwire : Tokyo

game story

The story of the game was originally inspired by the original Japanese folklore, and it began when a supernatural phenomenon occurred that led to the disappearance of all the 100,000 Japanese people from the city of Shibuya from the rest of the world that was isolated from the world.

The mysterious phenomenon of disappearance occurred in the most famous place in the city, which is “Shibuya Intersection”, where a mysterious soul appears looking for a body that is still alive, and here you find the body of the hero of the game “Akito” who rises from his coma with difficulty wearing this mysterious entity, and these events are all more than Akito can comprehend. .

The mysterious entity is a former detective named "Ki", with whom you will not be friendly at the beginning of the game, but you will have to cooperate with him in order to exploit your supernatural abilities and decipher the mystery of the mass disappearance and the missing sister of "Akito" in addition to the masked man behind it all.

Shibuya has been cut off from the rest of the world by a mysterious mist that is emitted from the gates of the Corrupt Torii connected to the underworld throughout the city, but Akito, in cooperation with Kei Kei, has the power to cleanse this corruption, removing the mist that covers the surrounding area and expanding the area City.

Game world

The thing that fascinated me most about the world of Ghostwire: Tokyo is that it literally embodies a neighborhood in the Japanese city of Tokyo, and it reminded me of the Yakuza series of games, where you will see for yourself the charming designs and elaborate details, when you wander in the game world you will feel that you are in a neighborhood that was supposed to be densely populated , and everything was abandoned for a moment because of this phenomenon, yet do not imagine that you are walking in the streets of a city filled with rain.

You will live the atmosphere of the neighborhood by moving between the buildings, alleys, roads, shops and residential buildings surrounding you, so we can say that the game has a semi-open world, although you do not interact with everything around you, but you will feel a comfortable consistency between you and the game environment.

You can freely roam the alleys of the small town, even jump over buildings with a spiritual hook in order to take out enemies, as well as roam the old houses, ancient temples and historical shrines scattered all over the city.

Control and gameplay

You will mainly rely on a unique, dynamic way of fighting that depends on hand gestures, which is the most interesting thing in the gameplay, fighting enemies by releasing your “ether waves” such as spiritual energy to produce unique energies with the use of several basic life elements and their combination such as fire, water, wind and other The strengths and weaknesses that each type of these monsters have to match.

Thanks to the haptic feedback of the DualSense Wireless Controller on the PlayStation 5, it will feel like your sixth sense during the game, as you unleash your etheric waves "super powers" to rip the bodies of your enemies' spiritual core, use your bow and special spells to counteract enemy strikes, and raindrops will feel like Your hand touches the console, and you can switch between capabilities via the Touch pad.

As you make your way through the city of Tokyo, you will inevitably come across supernatural beings named Visitors, enemies who will stand in the way of Akito and Ki-ki, where regular attacks with weapons like guns and swords are useless against the ghosts "Visitors".
The side quests will improve enough to make the game an exciting and interesting experience, and you will see for yourself how the combat progresses as you unlock more skills and moves through the uncomplicated Akito skill tree as some think.

You will experience many scary moments during the gameplay, where you will encounter strange ghosts in all available ways, whether by stealth or through direct confrontations, and also try to free the trapped souls, and cook the gates and provinces in an orderly manner.

There are shops scattered throughout the neighborhood, supervised by the cats and contains many valuable items and meals that you will need in the fight, which you will give to the pet cats and dogs scattered throughout the neighborhood, in addition to the missions to search for lost archaeological and magical tools.

One of the things that I liked the most is the translation of the menus and texts in the very perfect Arabic, as you will not feel that there is a literal translation of some words and dialogues, and I will consider it the best Arabic translation during this year.

The sounds were very amazing, as you will live the contemporary atmosphere of Tokyo with an elegant blend of Japanese folklore, and at every step you will hear the sounds of shops, restaurants and radio, and we recommend that the headphones support 3D sound technology for a more enjoyable experience, and listen to the sounds of spirits as they approach you.
