Recently, after the end of the E3 2021 Xbox / Bethesda event, some rumors appeared that Sony intends to hold a new State of Play event within the next few weeks, and today we have more sources confirming this, in addition to the date of the event, which apparently has been leaked.

Yesterday, June 24, French website JeuxVideo published a report claiming that the upcoming State of Play event will be broadcast on July 8. The site's claims appear to be based in part on a post posted on Reddit by an anonymous user earlier this week who claimed that the new State of Play will premiere on July 8.

While this source isn't robust, it's somewhat backed up by recent comments during the Summer Games Festival when Kojima first revealed a new trailer for Death Stranding Director's Cut that's a re-release of his 2019 game with new bonus content, coming exclusively to PC. PlayStation 5 Jeff Kelly commented at the time on the matter, saying that more details will be revealed over the next few weeks, which is in line with the leaked date of the PlayStation State of Play event.

Also, in support of these leaks, and when we got leaked information about a separate additional content for the game Ghost of Tsushima under development under the name Ghost of Ikishima, and according to the source, he indicated that Sony intends to reveal this content on July 8 next.

So far, this information cannot be taken completely seriously, but this coincides with the renewal of Sony's trademark for the PSX event, which many expect that we may witness its return soon, and this may be the expected event, or we may wait until the end of the year as usual, where the event will be held in December of Every year before Sony abandoned it during the last year due to the pandemic.
